The Challenge
Food trucks and small food vendors often work in fast-moving environments where customers need quick visibility on their order status. Most solutions are either too heavy, tied to a POS system, or require an app download. The challenge was to create a lightweight order tracking layer that works with an existing workflow instead of replacing it.
The Direction
Build a browser-based web app that keeps the flow simple: create an order, share a QR code, update the queue live, and keep the customer informed. The product needed to feel fast, clear, mobile-first, and usable during real service conditions.
What Was Built
- Mobile-first business dashboard
- Order creation flow
- QR code tracking page
- Live order status updates
- Queue management view
- Customer-facing status page
- Follow / business retention flow
- Bilingual EN/FR interface direction
- App identity using orange as a product accent
- Responsive UI designed for service-day usage
- MVP structure ready for future payment, subscription, and merchant account features
